Newbury Carnival 2017 organisers are pleased to announce that the fabulous Rampage Mas Band will be performing through Newbury Town Centre from 2pm as part of the Carnival Parade. They are also dancing in front of the main stage in Victoria Park as one of the performances at the Carnival Fete.
Rampage Mas Band are a 45-strong group of adult and child dancers who will be bringing the best of West Indian carnival tradition to the streets of Newbury with a mix of UK and Caribbean carnival styles that are sure to stun the crowds.
Ruth Walker, Project Manager for Newbury Carnival 2017, said “We are delighted Rampage have chosen to join us again this year. They bring an exciting and dynamic mix of costumes and music typical of the ‘big’ carnivals, like Rio and Notting Hill. They promise to be a brilliant spectacle, please don’t miss the amazing opportunity to see them.”
Rampage Mas Band has appeared in many leading Carnivals in the UK and Europe. This year they are celebrating their 30-year anniversary by taking us into a journey of the past called ‘Dis is Mas’ which promises to be very vibrant and exciting.
