Monday 20th July sees the arrival of Ken Haddock to New Greenham Arts to play an acoustic set in aid of the Newbury Carnival.
Ken hails from Belfast, where he regularly performs at the city centre Belfast Empire to large and appreciative audiences.
Song writing legend, Bruce Cockburn, says of Ken Haddock, “His songs are subtle and beautiful, delivered as they are with fine singing and guitar work. Ken should have the ear of audiences across the English speaking world.”
Bryan Harper, Chairman of Newbury Carnival 2015, explains. “We are delighted to hold this extra event after the Carnival itself to help raise funds for the Carnival. Ken Haddock is an extremely accomplished singer/songwriter. I was lucky enough to meet him recently in Belfast and when I asked him if he would come and play for us he jumped at the chance.”
“He is making a special commitment to us, and I would like to return the compliment with a great turn out. I know that he will be warmly welcomed by an appreciative Newbury audience.”
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets can be obtained from Bryan direct on 07545 483432, or from 9th July, through the Corn Exchange Box Office. Tickets are just £10.00, with all profits going to Newbury Carnival.
